Hi

I have solved quite a few problems with the help of this forum and I have got yet another one.

The past couple of days the car has taken a while to start although starting and then having no problems for the rest of the day. However, last night after around 5 minutes of driving it the red steering warning light came on, this went off 5 minutes later and when I tried to start the car later that night there were no problems at all.

This morning it again struggled to start and after 5-10 minutes of driving the red steering light came on again and a light which looks like this apart from red showed up.

only every now and again though. The car then juddered quite a bit. I decided to end the journey there and return home and phone in work. I try starting the car a little while after returning home and it now won't start in a way that it seems like it has no petrol (it does ) or the battery is flat. I have tried to jump start it but every time i get it started and think it will be fine the car drops its revs and cuts out.

please somebody help me.

thank you for taking time to read this long thread, I know you must have better things to do but I just wanted to include everything :D

Cheers.

My car's steering light comes on occasionally. But the steering feels fine. Then again, my car's ECU is faulty, and could ideally do with replacing. E.g. My airbag failure light is on. ECU Was reset by fiat, but it came back on shortly after. Can't really justify a £400 ECU change atm though.
Maybe the problem with yours ?

OK then cheers, might disconnect the battery for a little while then and see if resetting it will have any affect, be worthwhile if it starts so I can get it home and have a proper look at it (at a friends at the minute).

New battery needed, that will cure your steering problem, if you have the car running untill its warm does it run fine? If so get the throttle body cleaned and should be fine!

hi cheers for the reply, I cant get the car to start at all now, but when it did cut out it was after a journey so should be a little warm I would have thought. somebody is gonna take a look at 5:00PM so I will let you know if there is any look with that.
