Hi I want to tune up my punto mk2 1.9JTD..because there is a small selection of induction kits or cold air intakes for this type of engine, I want to know if some of the kits made for other cars can be fitted on JTD, I have heard a lot about ford focus induction kits, or can I use some for VW golf or polo TDI????

Why faff about trying to get some transplanted VeeDub contraption to fit when the fine people at GSR make a kit that fits and works perfectly already...

Ahh, I am sorry, I should have checked your location. GSR are a highly trusted company on this forum, but by the time you've paid for delivery and any customs charges that your country may charge, it could work out expensive. That is up to you to decide though (it costs nothing to send an email to find out)

I am afriad though, I am :bang: on this one. Diesel induction kits are rare here in the UK, so it must be hell in Bosnia to get anything. Sorry I couldn't be more help :(

The diesel could be unbearably boomingly loud without the standard air intake. They don't have a throttle valve (that stops most of the intake noise) like a petrol engine does.

Neither have I, in fact most people put them on disel engines to get smooother sound, instead of classic tap tap tap:LOL: sound diesels make

But is there something that should I pay attention when making it, because it sound to simple to just put some piping and a nice twincone filter together:LOL:

could someone please explain me where to connect the induction kit on my engine, do I have to take of the original air filter and its housing, or is it conested somewhere else. If someone culd mark it on the picture, it is 1.9jtd
