Hi All

My wife has a MK1 Punto and when she brakes at high speed there is a bad knocking noise/Juddering coming from the rear.

Could this be brake drums/shoes or would it be more likely to be the suspension, when she goes over speed humps and pot holes the car really bangs at the back as if there is no springs.

Any help would be great

Jack up the back of the car and visually check the springs for cracks or fractures, check the shock absorber conditions and if they have any liquid on them at all
