Hi everyone

I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 elx 5-door, It has central locking but no remote keyfob.

Ive read a post about this on here they used a Meta M320 to give it remote central locking but i can't find one anywhere :(

Ive also seen a genuine fiat relay which replaces the original central locking relay and it has a receiver on it and it also comes with two remotes, Ive only found one but not sure how much they're worth

Is there any other kits people recommend?

Theres quite a selection on ebay but not sure how gd they are

I bought a kit from egay a couple of years ago and (touch wood) its been brilliant. Only cost a tenner and seems to work from a long way from the car as daft as it sounds.

Only real ball ache was re fitting the fuse box assembly inside the car as its a real masterpiece of wiring looms, goodness knows how Fiat fit the things in a hurry.

If you go this route you'll need a manual of sorts to show you the colour codes of the locking/un-locking wires that you need to tap in to.

Its not a bad job to do, just take your time and be methodical as you work.

It's well worth the effort as its nice to be able to just press a button and unlock the car rather than mess around with keys in the dark. :)

Hi shaun200765,

Thanks for the quick reply,

what make is yours?

haha i guess that proves you've got a good kit with long range.

Ah yes i had a look this morning in the fuse box area and it looks fun anywayz

Im thinking this will be the cheapest way to do it ,

Ill have to find a manual on the internet :D

Im training to be a electrician so i should be able to find what cables i need but quicker and easier it is the better really

where did you put the relay? In the steering column area next to where you take fuse box front off? I noticed plenty of room in there

Every time i go out to my car it annoys me no light and fiddling around in the dark :bang:

Hi Ben.

I attached the unit high up inside, with the fuse box out of the car you'll see there's lots of room in there. From memory I think I just cable tied the box onto an existing loom and made sure that the antenna wire was pointing straight up/down as per instructions.

I'm sorry I cant remember the make but in a sec i'll have a quick look and see if I can spot a similar kit. Definitely originated from China lol.

Hi shaun,

ok ill attach it up outta the way on a loom then i guess its easy to get to if needed :)

hey dude! I've recently been on the same quest! (and still am) I ordered a hawk universal upgrade kit from the hawk website for £20. I've still not managed to fit it yet thou! Struggling to work out which wires need splicing! My thread i created is here: https://www.fiatforum.com/punto/223605-fitting-hawk-remote-central-locking-upgrade-kit.html

you might find some useful tips from others there. If you have any useful tips for me that would be great too haha.
