Very helpful so far! Need some help re heater fan control which has decided to spin round unless a little pressure is exerted to make it work. Any help gratefully received. Should have mentioned model being 2003 Punto Active 1.2 - forget my head!

Does it pull off at all (don't pull too hard since I do not know if they are the pull-off type)? If it does, you will probably find the collar has cracked, which is why you get the spinning sensation. Replace with a spare from the scrapyard (gluing a high-stress part like this seldom proves satisfactory).
