Hey guys,

I've just put £15 of petrol in the car and drove about 100yd when i realised i'd left the fuel cap open, so I pulled up and popped it back on, when I went back to turn the ignition the car started fine but all the warning lights are on and the dash reads "airbag failure - see manual". The speedometer doesn't work and the fuel gage is on empty and flashing, yet the car ran fine on the way back home. Any ideas what this might be? Hoping its down to the cold weather!

Sounds like an earth failure.

Check main engine/gearbox earth lead is properly tight and corrosion free. Don't just look, remove, abrade, refit with vaseline.

To check, put a single jump lead from battery neg to engine shiny part.

Cheers
