hi evry1....new to this forum

i would just like to know if anyone one who has a 1.2 8v mk2 punto has had similar problems as me with the gearbox/clutch??

it judders when setting off in 1st....and wen u put your foot down in 2nd and 3rd...then let off...the car kinda jumps up n down????

it went in last month and they had to replace the clutch....because the input shaft had collapsed????? its an "03" plate and has done 12000miles????

now i fear its gonna do the same again.....it isnt slipping like lasttime (yet) so any ideas why i keep getting clutch problems??? and what i can do? or tell fiat to do to fix it as the dont seem to think anything is wrong

its done 1000 miles since last clutch change

Hi , did you have the clutch fitted at a fiat dealer?, if you did get back in touch with them, fiat is having alot of trouble with clutch judder on punto's!!!, it may require a new flywheel fitting

Hi welcome to the forum Do you go to Blackpool Caledonia by any chance?

Mines on its 4th clutch from new, it is a common fault on the mk2 1.2 8v. Its had new flywheels, clutches and a new slave cylinder but they have not worked in the past. Its had a new clutch on recently and it seems alot better than its been before so i'm hoping it will be the last of the problems.

Does the clutch pedal click when you press it down and release it? If it does take it to the dealers and show them. Go to Caledonia Blackpool and they should fit you a new one Theyre a good bunch.

my old clucth never judderd but it did get clutch slip under acceleration then the release bearings werent, but my new clutch judders sometimes when pulling away or changing to second. but its only intermitent, i dint get mine done at fiat had mine at clutch place. i got 2 year garantee on it so will see how it goes can live iwth it for now.

oh and mines a 1,2 16v mk2 punto

yeah i had the work done at blackpool caledonia fiat about a month ago

drove it last nite and the whole car judders when setting off in first.....

and yes the pedal clicks when you press it?? whys this???

what do u reckon is wrong???

needs another clutch??? or flywheel?? clinder???
