Technical Punto temp issue and cutting out..

Thanks for all ya help guys.

Car moved this morning!!!!!.. Didn't start, she got towed to the local garage as it's far too cold for me looking under the bonnet with a cup of coffee and my "idiots guide to reading the Haynes Fiat Punto Mk1 guide book" lol.

I'll put a post on it to to let ya know what it is.. I hate winter and growing a big dislike for Fiats. :D

Don't blame the car yet :p

UPDATE:

Hey, Well the car went to the garage on Xmas Eve, they had a quick look at it and said that the ECU is knackered on it, as nothing getting passed ECU. They said replacments are a few hundred bob.

I then decided car not worth that so was going to sell it to my friend for him to do up or scrap etc. We went to pick it up and he said try start it. So I did and same turns over but not kicking into life. He then said let me try something and he got a electric screw driver and earthed battery to a coil or something and she fired up into life. Misfiring but he says that the connections are damp and when they dry out to put some WD40 on em and she should be fine. If not need to get a new set of cables.

ECU is fine!

Fingers X'd

Mate who sorted it is good mates with the garage, but the guy who looked at my car didn't really know what he was doing, he had a right bollocking when I was there, and probably had one after we left. lol.. It seems to be a dryish day today. So will see if ok to do the WD40 thing. Can you confirm which connections i put it on? is it the connections coming from the battery?

Thanks to all of those who responded to my post. I've WD40'd HT leads (not done others yet) Car firing up 1st time and is idling better aswell ) I will probably get a new set of leads next week and replace them anyhow but car is as good as she was before the dredded winter weather (supposed to happen again this New year holiday) :(
