hi guys,
i was wondering how many people have 16v mk2bs that are modifed?
all the puntos i seem to read about are hgt's and gt's not many 2bs.

i am planning on improving mine but i wanted to know what others have done with theirs, the general thing seems to be gsr induction and supersprint exhaust but what styling and other subtle touches have you made?

dont really need to do much outside mine just needs lowering and debadged grill now really

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the standard steering wheel on the Mk2b /Mk3 - both seem like the same car to me - and fit the Sporting /HGT steering wheel and airbag?
Are the airbags electrically compatible? (in other words, don't have to change anything else apart from the steering wheel itself).

no its easy to change many people on here have done it but i think u have to get the airbag fitted profesionally

Hmmm....its the "airbag fitted professionally" bit that worries me. Could you explain a bit more, please?
I was under the impression (if you follow Haynes manual) that it is a fairly simple thing to remove and refit the airbag. Did that quite a few times with my ex-Golf.

I am planning on getting the most out of my 1.4 but I want it to stay naturally aspirated.
am I being too optomistic in thinking I can get 140-150 bhp out of it without touching the internals?

I'm going to buy all the parts I need over the winter (hoping to pick up a few bargains on my way) and hopefully fit it all and get it remapped late spring ready for some very fun summer driving
