Technical Mk2 Punto Misfire

Hello all!

Right a house mates GF has a Y-Reg 1.2 8V MK2 Punto.

It has a misfire from cold and most notable at 1500rpm, pulling away it tried to stall but with more throttle load it then pulls normally.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

I dont have any OBD2 equipment to interrogate the ECU but I did check each coil by removing the primary circuit connector on a coil pack and then cranking, both times each coil pack ran the relevant cylinders.

Check the leads -- run car in dark, bonnet open, look for blue flashes. If SPI (can't remember on Puntos) blow out the long pipe to the map sensor (disconnect both ends first!) with an airline or carb cleaner.
