I am rebuilding my 1.2 sporting 16v and notice that the number stamped on the block is :182B2000.The book / Haynes says that the number Should be 176B9000.My Punto is R reg.Can anyone help suggest what has occured and if the ECU will suit. ?Is the engine right for the car?

176 is a Punto Mk. 1

182 is a Brava/Bravo

Looks like the original engine gave up and was replaced.
