I studiply lost the only key to my wife's mk2 Punto (2000 8v 1.2) and I've been looking into solutions. I've had quotes from dealers and locksmiths to get new keys done however it's going to be in the region of £140-£160 for one replacement key (so well over £200 for 2) and I was wondering if it would be cheaper and easier to replace the locks etc.
We'd need to replace the locks and ignition obviously, however would the immobiliser and ECU need swapped too? Also, if I went down this route, would anything need programmed by a dealer/locksmith or should it just work as long as it's from a similar Punto?
Any ideas appreciated as I need to get this back on the road!
Cheers.
