its one of these resiistors. run away.
i like the fact that its called the +15bhp chip, and the only car to get +15 was a bmw m3! it'll shag your engine!

It actually even states it work by fooling the engine into think its at a different temperature.

Oh, hang on a mo...

Maxpower recommend them, they must be ok then :D

cheers guys ill stay away from that then. :) could do with makin my punto faster but cant think of anything to ad more bhp :bang:

Reckon they could do out though? He states in that ad how they work, its upto you to decide if you want one or not.

Personally, I have three, I have gained around 45bhp, I'm after another 2 for Xmas :D

Basically mate, just hang on till you can get a faster car, what is it? 1.2? its never gonna be 'fast' unless you spend serious £££ on it, so just make sure its running right, maybe put an induction kit on, but avoid anything that is too good to be true ;)

James, what about a variable resistor? I heard +100BHP for 2kohms but you can put it down to plus 1BHP with 0.5kohms, fantastic!

Wow, what an idea! A bit like having a variable boost turbo!

Right, I'm off to maplins....

I might patent it ;)

Bet it would sell on ebay like hotcakes! A variable resistor with a set of 4m fly leads. Connect to where you put on the resistor, trail wires through bonnet grap and through slightly open windo, use bluetak to affix to dashboard, voila! Proper racing look :p

i already have a k+n on it. made abit of a difference. might just save up for a gt turbo :D

These things alter the resistance of the air intake temperature sensor - it shouldn't damage your engine or your ECU (it may of course damage the ECU if the resistance is too high) ) but by the same token it will make no percievable difference to performance whatsoever (exept maybe in your head) - the air temperature sensor is used by the ECU to make fine adjustments to injector pulse / timing etc according to the temperature of the intake charge - save your money or if you really want one go to maplins and pay about 10p for one instead
