Hi all, how does the fuel pump come out of the tank on a Mk1 Punto ? 1.2L
It looks as if it just unscrews but its not budging ? any advice ?

On my later model there is a locking ring around the top of the pump. There are raised ridges around it for a special tool (or a home made one) to locate and turn it. Fingers will not be enough. You can allegedly make one from 2 strips of 1"x 1/8" steel joined by 2 lengths of threaded bar. If the unit needs replacing the labour cost at a dealers should be very small and quotable.
