For sometime, car has had an intermittent misfire - have changed plugs and leads with the correct replacements but no difference. Misfire seems to happen between 1500-3000 rpm when pulling under load but can then drive through it and at times there is a noise as if if it is spitting back through manifold. Have taken it to local Fiat Dealer for diagnosis who couldnt tell me anything I didnt know and suggested next step to change coil.It all seems to be hit and miss and could be spending further money on parts not needed.I did read somewhere there is a way of testing the coil with a multimeter but didnt go on to explain how. Anyone had any experiences or suggestions.

They can be tested with a multimeter, but a simpler MO is simply to use another pair to test. Cinq, Sei, 55, 60, 75 are all the same. After that, I'd do a compression test.

Thanks for reply but hope it,s not anything to do with compression as car has only done 18,000 miles.Will probably end up getting another coil to try and if it,s not that move on to next possibility
