I have a MK2 1.2 sporting and my wipers are acting very strange...

on mine i have 3 wiper settings first i can adjust with 4 extra speeds on a turning thing on end of wiper stick and the other 2 are your standard slow and fast. .....

on the first setting with the extra adjustable speeds the wipers go up fine then on way back down they kinda stick and judder slowly down :( anyone had same problem and how to fix this?

i thought was just the wipers sticking to windows but i lifted the arms up and it still does it then...but weird thing is the 2nd and 3rd wiper selections run fine?

hope you understood all that haha :)

ah right ok thanks....i bought it privately so will have to pay...any idea what it might cost?

:D Mine does it too, already changed the wiper blades as I thought they were the problem. I'll take it into the dealer then and smile sweetly

thanks for the info ill see if i can take it into fiat at the weekend. ill let you no what happens

ohhh thank you very much :) where do i go from the site to find the step by step guide?

all you have to do is take the two screws out from the black plastic (driver side and middle) lift that up as much as you can, then put something there to hold up (block of wood), Take the plastic motor cover off ,
with the cover cut the end off where its a lng straight flap jst cut off to get it back in much easier. Un clip the switch.
take the 5 x 25mm torxs out, now the top part will come off. DONT LOOSE THE SEAL.
then you will see two copper contacts on the top half, clean them and push them up a bit more, then clean all the orange colour (sometimes white) grease off the motor, once clean put it all back togetha, (do not need to re-lubricate what you cleaned. :D :D

If you go to the web site as above and search for "wiper judder guide" it will find the post and a link to download the word doc wit instructions

i just found it on mk2 site ...the word doc with pics :) hopefully i be able to do it myself

wipers are sorted! :D nice and smooth now! thanks for the guide....one thing wrong with it...i had 6 not 5 torx screws as one little bugger was hiding under the plug :p haha
