Hi Guys,

new to this site, and was wondering if you can help, I have a 1.1 (95)twinspark, Im fairly good in general with cars, but there are always giggle pins, fu fu valves and flux capacitors that I cant find !
any way long and short of it, overheated head gasket gone, got it skimmed, refitted all timed up ok, compression fine, but only runs on two cylinders, swapped over the coil packs the problem stays with same two cylinders, by the way, one coil pack is running the two cylinders, any ideas please, ignition amp? by the way where is it?

Thanks
Jon

Thanks Dave will check will check this, is there an ignition amp, if so do you know where it is

Cheers
Jon

I dunno how th eignition set-up of yours differs to my '98 Sporting but could it be the actual coil that's duff (assuming that both non-firing cylinders are coming off the same coil)

Each coil feed two cylinders, the spark fires in both at same time, one cylinder is on exhaust stroke and one on compression - the spark that fires in exhausting cyl is 'wasted'. Low tension supply that triggers sparks comes from ECU / injection control unit. If you have swapped coils and problem stays on same two cylinders it must be Low tension supply to coil problem.
