Hi i have a 54 plate punto hgt jtd and the airbag light is on i got the codes read today and this is what the check returned p1236, p0022, p0014, p0002 i was told that all but the first code which is a turbo pressure fault that the rest are to do with the airbag system. i cant find any of these codes on the net that are to do with the airbag system can anyone help cos the car is due to go soon the airbag light was off once reset but after driving about 1/2 mile with a stop in the middle it came on as i pulled up at a junction which i think suggests a loose connection although i've tried wiggling wires and cant re-create the problem

I suspect you may have been misinformed about the definitions of these fault codes. P0XXX are generic codes common to all manufacturers. The P denotes Powertrain. Those you list are as follows:

P0002 = Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Range/Performance
P0014 = B Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)
P0022 = A Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 2)

P1XXX are manufacturer specific codes. P1236 does not appear in the list of Fiat specific codes I have. I have seen reference to it for some other manufacturers meaning Fuel Pump Control Out Of Range.

An airbag fault code would be in the Body range of codes and begin with the letter B.

took it back to garage and no faults were found just the airbag one so not sure what the other guy was lookin at??????? anyone know anything about passenger side curtain airbag
