oil on spark plug

I recently replaced the spark plugs in my 55sx and noticed that one of them had a thin coating of oil on it. I'm hoping that the spark plug was just a bit knackered and wasnt firing properly as it used to be a little lumpy somtimes. I was just wandering whether these engines were prone to burning valves?! It's only done 60,000 miles and only burnes a small amount of oil.

Re: oil on spark plug

bet it was on number 1. the one below the oil cap? oil gets spilt when you fill up runs down an sits around the plug, then as you onscrew the plug it runs down an makes bottom of plug oily
