Tuning upgradeing breaks !

hey im looking to upgrade my brakes on a mk2 1999 punto as the current ones are abit pants. is there any recomendations? i was thinkin bout takin breaks of a bigger moddel of fiat like a stilo maby? would this actualy improve them? i am on a small budget tho so it needs to be as cheep as posible

and this one is my thread from when i uprated my brakes, definately worth the money brilliant upgrade. from the top of my head i paid £20 for calipers and £65 for pads discs brake lines and some dot 4 fluid.

hefty, what model of mkII Punto have you got? You have to be a bit careful not to upgrade the front brakes too much from stock since the front-rear balance will be upset. Therefore, if you have 240mm x 11mm solid discs, and drums at the rear, I would not recommend going much further than a Punto GT front brake setup (257mm x 20mm vented) with decent pads like EBC Green Stuff or Ferodo DS.

In that case, unless it has ABS it will be 240mm x 11mm solid discs. And upgrade to mk1 GT brakes (257mm x 20mm vented) with a set of performance pads should see you right.
