I've been having problems with my fiat punto that i have had for a few months. The speaker in the front door only works on the right hand door. I've swapped the speakers around and they both work so its a problem with the wiring. I've made sure the balance on the radio is correct so no problems there. Any Help would be appreciated.

Possibly a bad connection in the connector in the door jam... disconnect it, spray both sides with contact cleaner and then plug and unplug it a few times to wear off any corrosion. Failing that, i'd have the head unit out - have you got another headunit you could use to test it? the output to the speakers is driven by MOSFETs in the headunit, and these can sometimes (but rarely) fail.

I've tried to remove the connections from the back of the radio and reconnect them. had the same problem. I'm a bit of a novice so i don't really have much idea. If i was going 2 get new speakers what size would fit. Preferably i'd like to get them from argos. Not too expensive though.
