Brake Judder?

I have brake judder basically...

and when slightly braking behind another vehicle, feels like binding and unbinding even though its at the same break pressure applied...

If this turns out to be brakepad residue, how do I spot it and is there an easy way to remove it?

Tnx in advance.

Re: Brake Judder?

It does sound like warped discs. If you jack it up and spin the wheel by hand you'll probably find that it takes more effort to turn it sometimes. Don't bother getting the discs skimmed or any of that crap. Just get new discs, fairly cheap and easy to fit.

Re: Brake Judder?

Nope, apparently warped discs are VERY rare, but I do put it down to possibly pad residue due to not getting judder in the streering during high speed breaking, even during emergency breaking, but I'll get the discs checked soon peeps.

Re: Brake Judder?

i get that a lot, it feels like the discs are warped.
We used to have a saab 900 and the discs on them warp easily as its such a heavy car.
can;t understand why this has happened to punto though??
