Hi, i've got a few minor problems with the door on my Mk2, and was hoping if anyone might know the problem/soloution.

Firstly, the door handle isn't retracting properly, and only retracts once pushed in. This means it's left sticking out.




Secondly, the door seems to be sticking when opening, and the rubber seal looks fairly worn and seems to e catching as i open the door.







Lastly, for some reason my door just swings open, and whatver stops it from doing so, and allows the door to open in stages (if you get what i mean) isn't working. The hinge feels loose, and the rubber cover has come loose at the top.




Anyone know how i can fix any of this? Cheers.

Door handle probably just needs some lubrication.

The seal which is fouling, is it tucked under the main door seal? If not it should be so it's pulled in tighter.

Is the check strap bolted properly inside the door or has it come loose?

It feels as if it's come loose, it's not really wobbly, but there is some give in it. Certainly looser than than the passenger side.

Get inside the door and check then, may just need nipped up.

Will i need to take the door off for this?
