I own a 1996 Fiat Punto GT since a couple of months. Unfortunately, it really smelled of petrol lately, which lead me to some more thorough research. It seems that, because the car hadn't really run this last year, it's been rusting so badly, it really needs to be replaced. But new tanks of this type, it's a metal one, are quite expensive. Is it possible to modify the cheaper plastic tanks to fit to the GT?
