Can anyone help.

Have a Punto active sport 02 Plate has what I can only describe as the River Ribble gushing thorugh the dashboard...

Has had the coolant flushed twice and fully bled, have heating and fan is working.

Fiat dealer said bring it in we can have a go at releasing the air lock, trick apparently is to leave th eheater on full blast with the coolant gap off, run for about 20 mins, should sort it

The other non Fiat garage are advising its the head Gasket! NOOOOOOOOOOOO

How can this be surely its just an air lock, and they are problematic to get out?

Help needed please
:bang:

nah they should be easy. i get rid of mine by just opening the water tank cap till bubbles stop. or run it for 5mins with cap open. then leave till the water lowers and engine cooled a bit then add more till it's right. air should have come out. dont leave cap off too long engine will overheat

My punto was overhaeting all the time when i first bought it but all i did was to bleed it just open up the bleeding valve for the radiator and the airlock should come out now my fan only comes on when it should and the temp gauge on dash is nearly always low instead of just when i drive 5 mins to shops lol.

was your in car heating working when you had the air lock? because i do not think there's a air lock in my engine but there is in the heater piping...

you havent got rid of yours acording to your thread, an its no wonder if you try and bleed it like that, go read the guide and do it properly, with engine cold an still
