Hi im new to this forum so to everyone Hi.
I bought a 2002 1.9 normally asperated diesel punto 4 months ago,It is the elx model.After just 2 days of motoring the car just stopped,so took it to my local english garage,he swiftly removed the cat and everything was good,for 1 day.Then I started the car I had no throtle,it ticked over fine but no throttle.So i turned the key off started the engine again and everything was perfect.Drove to work went to start the car wouldnt start.So called my freind to take me home left the car.Next day gave my keys to my garage freind to tow the car,He called me 10 minutes later to say what was wrong with the car its fine.So went to pick up car and it was fine,For a week then going home just stopped.I noticed the engine management light had come on at the same time,car would not star but left for about an hour started fist time then was perfect.This continude so took car to garage he put on Diagnostic which said throttle wide open,and throttle closed weird stuff.
So took to ecu people they said nothing wrong with ecu apart from a ram problem but shoulnt effect car in this way.Car was fine till 5 days ago when stopped again put diagnostic on which said short from live to earth,Now the fuel pump is not bosh its the other one cant remember which one but If any one has any ideas please you would be raised to god like,Also if anyone can tell me where I can find the pin data for the ecu I would happily come and cut your grass,No really the pin data would be great so we can test the wether to go pump or ecu,Oh and prev owner cant find red key I didnt even know they existed till I was asked for it,did get it cheap though so if any one can help,Thanks hope i can help soon...:worship:
