On a punto FK's are fine and bang for buck a decent setup.

KW's are better if you have the money.

Best setup is eibach pro springs with bilstein uprated dampers IME

FK are the cheapest brand I'd got for, anything else is too bad to consider.
FK are budget.

Yes dampers/springs are better than the coilovers I've tried (All the FK's, Eibach sportlines and one set of KW's). For a start the amount you lower the car is correct for improved handling, dampers are set to the correct rates for the springs. Coilovers people set too low, with the wrong camber and at the wrong rates.

Eibach pro springs with bilstein dampers is a proven setup. HGT cup cars run that setup, if it's good enough for them... I also have run that setup and thought it was excellent, but looks are sacrificed.

do you no what the drop is on that setup? or what it costs

Wouldn't rule out the vmaxx's either actually..

Over on Cliosport forum there are groupbuys going with a fair few people and some very good reviews of them saying that they are even better than the FK's, GAZ etc...

25-30mm, ~£700

Maybe, but it's a different car, different chassis, different weight, different rate springs and dampers.

No they are crap springs.

Tim just go for FK's if you are doing it just for the drop. What brand of coilovers was the bloke selling that told you FK were crap?

:(thats nowhere near what i wont. iv just had a measure and 50mm on the back and 70mm on the front would bring the archs right to the top of the tyre and thats what i wont

You said you didn't want a crap setup, I just told you what an excellent setup is.

If you drop it 70mm you're not at optimal ride height for handling tbh.

Been there done that. FK's are decent for the price and you can drop low, but it will be at the cost of handling.
