Hey, I'm new to this forum and recently bought a Mk 2 Punto.

But my drivers side wing mirror is broken and needs replacing, do any of you know how hard it is to replace the whole mirror and how I go about doing it?

Also my fuel flap is broken and also needs replacing, do any of you know how to replace the fuel flap aswell?

I'd be very very grateful for any help and info you could give me on these 2 problems!

Thanks, Leo

wing mirror is a piece of ****, there are four clips holding it in, prize it off with a screwdriver, then peel the glass off, should be stuck on, then buy new glass and stick that on, you can buy new glass from halfords that has an adhesive strip on, then clip it back on the mirror

not sure about the fuel flap, i know its fitted on with a spring type thing, how exactly is it busted?

just realised you said the whole mirror, it says in the guide section here https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-guides/146414-how-colour-code-wing-mirrors.html

Thanks for the quick reply Trist :)

I'll have a go at the wing mirror tommorow, the reason for me fixing the wing mirror is that one of the cables has snapped that adjusts the mirror. When I move the controller that adjusts the mirror, it can only adjust the mirror downwards and sidewards, but not upwards. So my mirror is pointed downwards only, so the cable that makes the mirror point upwards has snapped. So I'm just going to replace the whole wing mirror, the glass isn't broken or anything.

The petrol flap is a bit hard to explain, it opens and closes fine.. but its not very secure and I can see part of the closing mechanism has snapped off, so I'm guessing this is the reason why. I'll take pics tommorow when I get back from work to make it clearer, I've seen new petrol flaps for £13 on ebay, so I'm just going to order on of those and replace it. But I have no idea how to take the petrol flap off :(
