im trying to change the clutch on my punto and we dropped the wishbone from the wheel hub and removed the battery tray and disconnected all the bolts in the bell housing and gear linkages and the passenger side drive shaft. but for some reason the bell housing wont come away. will we need to remove the drivers side drive shaft? if so is there any way of doing it without dropping the wishbone on the drivers side? if not, and ideas what could be stopping it?

Wishbones don't need to be dropped.

Undo the suspension bolts, unclip the inner clips on the boots and pull out.

The shafts will slip out of the diff cups no worries.

have you removed the 1 nut at the back

and the starter motor?

yeah thanks took the starter motor and dust shield off and it slipped off easily
