Well i have a 1.2 8v mk2, with the blue interior, and the crappy yellow looking kinda bulb, so i wanted to change it. and i came across blue interior bulb, (festoon 42mm)

IMO works very well with the blue interior, also my headunit , illuminates blue when in dark; looks all good (y)

Just thought i would post this for people who may want to try it out

Ebay £4 :slayer:

How hard was it to fit the blue light? and do you have any instructions??
cheers
Ben

Easiest thing I've done. Just pull down on the light casing and it pops out, as it's held in by being a snug fit. Flip it found and you can just unclip the metal casing, and the bulb is held in by a spring in one end and a contact metal on the other. Just replace it, pop it back in and bob's your uncle. Just make sure you unplug the power into it before hand.

I have that done, along with blue footwell neons, a music-reactive neon in my change/rubbish thingy on the centre console, blue gearknob.

Halfords of all places. Was only about £7 and it's about 5 inches long. Comes with a sensor that you can alter the sensitivity of to match the sound volumes. If I remember tonight I'll get a picture of it all lit up in blue.

My interior light i broken. It doesn't turn off unless my door is shut, you know they usually have 3 ways - 1=off 2= on when door open 3= on all time
So mines disconnected. Hopefull someone at NiN will be able to help me :L

can buy the whole interior light unit for a few pennys off ebay. not that expensive mate.

does it really light up the car well though? what happens if I need to get to my stash place in the dark?! not practical enough!

Then you need some of these:

And this is with the blue interior light on:

2 ten inch neons, and then a 5 inch neon. The first two were from Ebay, along with a cigar lighter plug, and the latter was from Halfords along with the two-way adapter that you can see in the middle. Means I can just plug it in when I want them on.

is your bulb LED or just coloured blue?

if just coloured blue you will find out in a few days the bulb will burn through the blue making it no longer blue as i found out i now have a 8 LED blue festoon. much better and alot brighter blue (y)
