Hey guys another topic from me tonight but this ones to do with my brake.

I have a Punto 55 SX 1.1 and i was driving along and all of a sudden i couldnt brake. Was going at around 30 but luckily i was cruising along with my mates and there was a car park just where i was so i swung into it and handbraked it up. I came out of the car and recovered from the shock and checked the brake pedal. Basicly what had happened was that the pedal came disloged from the brake hinge (something around those lines). I struggled but managed to put it back in but the brake feels weird now and when i let go it sort of bounces back up and is loose at the top. If anyone knows what this problem exactly is and why it happened leave a reply.

Thanks

I think I've read something on one of the forums about a recall due to the split pin that secures the pedal to the pedal pivot being crap. It sounds as if this has happened to you.

This is usually checked during any car's MOT as well.

Ye i took it back for a recall a week before this happened so if they did change this they sure cocked up the job :D . No worries though now as got a dads mate to come round who sorted me out for free and im back to gunning it with my little 8v (y)
