£200 a month what was going rong with it? iv had my 2b since august and not had a thing rong with it and i had my mk1 punto had that a good 5months and not a thing went on that

£200 is a bit steep for monthly maintenance, I don't blame you really. As much as I love the Punto, there are some bad apples out there. However, isn't a Corsa SRi a bad choice if saving money is a priority?

because i got the car from my sisters ex boyfriend he use to rag the thing around alot but dint tell no 1 n then he sold it to me to pay of some of his debt, so i bought it thinkin it was all ok, next thing the steering motor went got tht replaced, then the clutch bearing went witch then somehow ****ed my gear box, then 1 of my wheel bearings went, then speedo decided not to work, had 1 trye blow out, had to replace the alloy, all in all its cost me a good £2000 to keep it going, n i payed £2750 for it!

The reason im gettin the corsa is because i know the guy in charge of a vauxhall garage who repairs them so he can sort it out for a lot less then he would charge for other customers, he said if its little jobs he will do them for free, so im saved on maintenece sort of, petrol and insurance is all cheap for me coz im under my dads insurance so brings it down and petrol well prices nowa days!

but im just guna settle with the corsa for a couple of yeas then think about gettin a punto hgt or something on the lines!

I don't believe I am saying this, but the Corsa sounds right for your situation. Good luck, hope to see you again in a Punto soon after your bad luck with the current one.

Unfortunately, when my mk1 gives up, I will have to give up on Fiats. Being a mainstream manufacturer, they have to stick to all the girly health and safety EU nannying that annoys me. I'll have to choose a small-volume manufacturer so I can get SVA approval instead.
