Hi everyone, my name is James and im new to The FIAT forum!

Basically, i went and looked at a second hand FIAT Punto X reg 1.2 Engine and i really like it. I had a quick drive around and it felt nice and smooth..

Now if i DO buy the car ill be using it to drive to college everday and will go see friends farily locally and will hardly be driving for miles and miles..

Anyway, the milage is 120,000. Now the car is £1290, now i would have bought the car there and then however the milage gave me second thoughts.

My question is, is the mileage an issue here?

The car is Petrol.

Thanks in advance

If it drove well then it should be fine.

What trim level is it? Body coloured bumpers? Condition of bodywork/interior?

The only issue is the price really. Theres a few on autotrader than have done over 40,000 miles less and are under a grand.

Try and barter with him, as you're only a student at college use the term
"I'm a student and don't have a lot of money" and see whether he knocks some money off.

I bought my 2000 W reg Fiat Punto last week: 80,000 miles got it from £1195 to £850, just shows there are bargains.

Especially with this credit crunch they can't give cars away atm.

By the sounds of it, the seller of that car, wants it more than you do ;)

Mine's A Mk2 2003 (pre face lift) i bought it for £2000 and now it's up to 110000 Ish, and its fine, makes a few noise's here and there but there 99% of the time internal rubbing from seats or the solid wood parcel shelf,

i just double checked that it wasnt pissing oil from the head gasket and that it obviously ran,

One of the best car's iv ever driven NVM owned.

Dnt think ill be gettin my £2000 back when it comes to selling it but love my lil blue punto! :)
