Does anyone know if the rear suspension swing arm on a MK1 Punto is the same as on a MK2 Punto?

The reason I ask is because my MK2 Punto needs a new one and I can get hold of one for a MK1 fairly cheaply.

not sure but i know you can just buy the bushes for a mk1 to repair them.

Thanx for your reply. It's actually a repair kit for a MK1 I'm looking at, with the bushes. Would it work with a MK2 do you know?

I'm getting a rattling noise from the rear left side whenever the car vibrates, going over bumps or clutch control on a hill usually sets it off, I've pinned it down to the bushes.

Whay do you think?

i have a 96 barchetta which i believe shares the same rear trailing arm. got the same sympoms as you. ordered replacement bush kits today... going to give the thing a lengthy look over tonight before the footy. someone has also posted a procedure for changing the bushes (a punto owner)... i'll track it down and post it here.

If i learn anything useful i'll let you know.
