what do you do if you accidentally pull the speedo needle off to put it back in the right place?

ta

how u managed to do that lol.id put the needle on.turn on engin.turn off.and see where its droped.if its not resting on 0mph then take needle off.put it back on so its resting on the pin.turn on and off again.keep repeating thill its correct.if you can remember your idle rev then keeep doing it and when you turn on your engine and it hits the idle rev i should imagin its right.all i can think of mate.never had that problem

thats what i thought but it doesnt go to 0 obviously cos the litte stopper pin is there and then the pushpin for the trip reser covers the 0 bit aswell, may needa little jigging but I assumed you put it on a 0mph and it will auto correct itsself once you put it all back together.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm:confused:jus put it on and then drive past a 30mph speed camera with your speedo at 30.if u get flashed you no your off lol and slaped with a fine.:D

or just nip to a garage.get them to put the pin on but yoy put the rest back together.be a 2min job so i would think they do it for nout depending on there mood lol.if not itd be bout a 5r.better that though than beein pulled for your speedo being off

i replaced the needle last week and just put it on so that it was just sitting on the stopper. The needle mechanism is sprung, so it should be sitting in the proper position without having to put it back in and turn engine on etc...

was blasting down the motorway last night, and 4000rpm in 5th is usually dead on 80, and was still showing this after the needle was changed so reckon it's all good.
