Heeeelp. I have a Fiat Punto sx 60 Selecta (R/98) Automatic.
First it started over revving like it wouldn't engage the final gear, then it just stopped responding and wouldn't move in any gear, and the gearbox light came on. I can't get it to a dealer as it won't move:chin:, i have a garage nearby that deals with gearboxes but i just wanted a idea of what the problem could be and how much it will cost to rectify.

Got the same issue today. Can you hear the click sound as you push brakes pedal???Because I can't hear and presume theres a problem with the relay. In order to drive it to a garage, try the following, start up the engine, pull out the key and put it in that emergency socket right beside the gearbox handle, slightly push the key down and try to move the handle down to D, it might work.
