Hi Guys,

Washed my car inside and out yesterday in the morning. In the afternoon I went to move it, the accelerator pedal went as hard as a brick (couldnt push it down), then went soft (stuck to the floor) and started to rev manically.
I switched off the engine (i was going nowhere), wait a few mins, turned back on and all was ok.

Any idea what and why it happened?

the accelerator cable is located just behind the engine block, behind where the air intake butterfly valve is (to the left of the engine block)

put your head to the right of the engine black, move your head down and look towards theleft... this is the easiest way to see it

if your still not sure, get someone to keep pumping the accelerator (with the engine off) and see what moves

hope this helps

Mike

basicly it is like a metal cable, like a bike break cable, or a handbreak cable, you will see it moving if someone pumps it while you look.
