av got a 1999 60s punto and one of the spark plugs blew out of the cylinder head. The spark plug will no longer screw back in as the thread in the cylinder head has been stripped. Has this ever happened to anyone before, and do you know if it will be an expensive repair.

you can get the head rethreaded,but i would be more inclined to just get a second hand head from the scrappy.was the thread already damaged to allow the plug to pop?

Cheers, I might get a head from the scrappy. I'll jus have to make sure that the new one does'nt have any sign of the thread goin. I don't think the thread was already damaged but the s'plug may have come lose then vibrated.
