Right My 2000 1.2 8v has had an oil leak for a while now and it never really bothered me as i just kept it topped up but its starting to annoy me now as i think its getting worse? or mabye im just telling myself that?

Anyway, I think its coming from the sump? Defo from that area, theres oil all on the sump and all over the bottom of the engine like the fan belt area. I've seen replacement sumps on ebay so assume that this may be a common problem?

How easy is it to replace a sump?

Not hard to replace the sump, couple of hours work if you haven't done it before.

Might not be the sump, a little oil goes a long way. Get the engine jet washed (cover electricals) and check after a short drive. Sumps are prone to corrosion though so it could be that.
