After recently changing the head gasket i know have an annoying knocking/tapping noise like the tappets are not right.

The only thing that makes me wonder if it is not them is mine seems to have the opposite symptons to other peoples cars. It is perfectly quiet when cold for 5 - 10 minutes and then starts after that.

Any ideas?

same problem mate? engine quite when cold and soon as it starts warming up there is a loud tapping noise mine to is a 1.2 8v 60sx. tierlessly searched through forums and interweb and done things that people suggest like oil filter change new plugs checked oil circulation ie with rocker cover off no metal filings and oil squirting out of all holes in lubracation rails checked gaps between shims and camshaft all ok according to haynes manual got a commpresion check done all ok rechecked and replaced timing belt + tensioner and waterpump etc etc but still doing it. am at a loss now. have spent far to much money on it now so going to drive it until something goes bang then scrap it and buy another car?
