Now this is not yet another EPS thread. I did my homework
What happens is that there is a bang noise from my steering wheel once in a mile of driving. Once in a hundred bangs, EPS dies, light comes on on the dash. Turn the car off than on and it works.
I thought it could be poor contacts, so cleaned them with contact cleaner. Batery was an issue this winter, its a brand new Bosch 42A now.
So I think my problem is this noise. When I move the steering wheel bit left-bit right, there is not a bigger "gap" between starting to move left and right (hope you understand) but there is a knocking noise when it starts to move the wheels. It is INSIDE the steering wheel for sure! Its not some of the mechanic joints under the bonet.
Some say its a part that joins city with steering column, but I never drive with city on.
