apparently not although i have only read this and never tried it myself.

you can swap the dials to new ones and it will flash but when you plug the old ones in they will be back to normal.

i have only read this though wait for people to back me up hopefully

If you unplug your original dials, dont turn the ignition on (I suggest disconnect the battery), and then plug them back in again, you wont require proxy alignment!

i removed my dials for a couple of weeks whilst trying out my hgt dials, when i put in the originals they worked fine with no flashing
