Hey, just got a 03 plate active sport and the fan speed control on heater was very hard to turn, so messing about with it ive managed to break it and now cant set the speed, its stuck on no.3 but can still turn control just it doesnt do anything. How do i fix it? do i need a new contol for just that fan speed or new heater unit and apart from fiat where could i get a cheap one?? cant find any on ebay cheers guys

have you broke the actual thing or just a clip holding it in place...

if you want a new one the is always the scrappy, or go back on ebay and look for any car breaking and ask for the peice you want...

not sure will have to look tomorra. hopefully it'll just be the clip. how do i get to it? just take front panel off the dash?? cheers!!

Hi, use the information given above to remove the facia,then remove the 2 tiny crosshead screws & retreive the switch, had the same problem with stiff switch, you can get inside by releasing the plastic clips, should find a spring & ball bearing, hopefully you've just dislodge these inside & thats why the switch just rotates, rebuild and lubricate with a little grease that should sort it.

hey again, well after fighting with the dash i finally managed to get to the switch, and it looks like ive snapped it off :bang:

Do i need to buy a full new heater inc the other 2 switches, or can i just get the fan speed switch? i noticed two tiny screws holding it in, do i just take them out and replace switch unit?/
