as soon as i have started my car there is a very high pitched squeal, it gets worse while im accelorating, however when i put my foot on the clutch it seems to quieten down or fully stop. The sound is comming from somewhere directly in front of the drivers seat, is it possible that it is the altinator??

i think it is more likely to be the tensioner and/or cambelt, or alternator belt possibly
