Technical Help knocking noise from rear

I was getting a knocking noise from the rear passenger side of my new 04 punto Active.

Mainly going slowly over bumps.

On inspection, I realised that it was the handbrake cable where it was clipped in a holder at the rear passenger side, right near the wheel.

It was basically rubbing in it's holder creating a knocking/squeaky noise. I just widened the clips and put some insulating tape around the cable at the holder. Managed to silence the noise.

the old ones knock out with a chissle, i think you will need more than 2 washers, it shouldnt be to hard to sorce some bar and tube from somewhere. ask at the motor factors where you getting the bits they might know some where.

HI DAVE THANKS FOR YOUR HELP I HAVE MANAGED TO GET BOLT / BARS AND WASHER BUT AM REALY STRUGLING TO GET SOME TUBING DO YOU BY ANY CHANCE KNOW THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL DIAMETER I TRIED TO MEASURE BUSH BUT USING A RULER IS NOT VERY ACURATE. I AM SUMISING THE TUBE GOES OVER THE RUBER BUSH AND RESTS ON THE VERY THIN CAST PLATE EDGE JUST UNDER THE RUBBER AS MY FIRST ATTEMPT I GOT IT WRONG AND COMPRESSED THE RUBBER BUSH INSTEAD OF PUSHING IT IN. DAM THEM THINGS ARE TIGHT. THIS IS A BIT HARDER TO DO THAN EXPECTED TOOK ME 2 HOUR JUST TO GET ONE REAR BUSH OUT. AND THE FRONT ONES ARE HARDER TO GET TO. :bang: ANY HELP MUCH APRECIATED.
