Does the MK2 punto have a mechanicism / fault where if to much pressure is placed on the electronic pas it would stop working and cause the red light to come on?

In sense of continuingly putting full left and right lock on at very fast pace when attempting to get into a small parking space?

And when you turn engine off and on the lights goes off?

Mine has done this about 2 times in a year, when trying to get into small spaces.
