take the front bumper off and press the catch, should do the job

Wire was still inside the car. Tried pulling this manually - wire just pulls without releasing the bonnet. I guess its snapped at the bonnet end? Garage job?

most likely the release wire has just left the outersheath connected to the catch and therefore will not release the bonnet i would sugggest going to a garage if u dont want to start taking apart the front end of the car

my daughter just took hers to garage(cable snapped) £10 for cable, £70 labour almost 2hrs!
