I seem to have a faulty Hazard Warning switch on my Punto Mk2 1.2.
Once switched on they are very difficult to stop without multiple presses of the red button. Even if I hit the dashboard they will sometimes start up themselves.
Not sure if it`s jamming on the bodywork or actually broken, the button itself seems to have only a few millimetres of travel.
Q:- how can I remove just the red plastic button to see if thats jamming on the bodywork - will it just pull of ?
or presumably I have to remove the facia panel to get access to the switch itself - where are the screws for that ?
What concerns me, if I cannot get them to stop while I am out on a journey I may have to resort removing the fuse which will disable my indicator lights.

You have to remove the centre console then remove the switch panel. (i think threre is a guide in the guides section iirc)

The switch on mine dosent travel much but gives a satisfying 'click' when its pressed.

If the unit is faulty (its one component fort the hazard switch, elec winodws switch, fog light etc..) you can get one from a local scrappy or even ebay pretty cheaply.
