Just to the left of the air box on the block. It's quite a big complicated unit costing about £80 and a complete nightmare to change IMHO.

Even with a new stat the JTD will take a while to warm up especially ATM, it's the nature of the beast.

It's on the right hand end (looking from the front) of the engine. Item number 11 in this diagram.

It's only supplied as the complete unit, it's quite expensive and you probably don't need one.

All JTD engines take a long time to warm up and with the ambiant temperatures at the moment may never reach half way on the temperature gauge.
