Deos it still blow cold air? or does the fan motor not work at all?

 Errrm... I actually meant daves question wasnt a p*ss take lorenzo, even if it might have looked like it was to a new poster.

I have a similar problem, but my fan only works when I put it on the maximum power setting. Otherwise, it does not function. It happened after a garage did some work on the car. They sometimes cause small faults when they are meant to be fixing your car.
I am also trying to find out what the issue is.

Lorenzo,

In the passenger footwell, remove the bit of carpet trim just below the glove box. There are 2 plastic push type clips that hold the carpet up. Once this is removed it will reveal the interior fan. At the rear of it, you will see a wiring multi-plug. Pull this out, check the connections, and then push it back in firmly. This can sometimes be kicked by a passenger with big feet, or by having lots of stuff in the footwell. If its still dont work, then if you have a multimeter, check that you are getting +12 at the connector with the ignition on and the fan speed set to 4. If you are, then your fan unit is at fault. If not, then you need to trace it back, to the switch unit first. Again check for +12v.

Whilst your at it, also have a look at THIS guide and check for continuity on the described connector.

This is of course ensuring that you have checked the fuse first and foremost.

Obseibonsu,

Your problem is most likel to be a switch unit fault/ resistor pack fault.

Hope that helps,
Alan
